Associate Chief Clinical Officer (most senior physician leader) for the new Troy Medical Campus Michigan Medicine / University of Michigan Health, Troy, MichiganMichigan Medicine seeks a dynamic, distinguished physician executive to serve as the inaugural Associate Chief Clinical Officer for the new Troy Medical Campus which is scheduled to open in 2027. The ACCO will Champion the Troy Medical Campus as a distinct, community-integrated care model with limited learners, community-based productivity standards, and rapid patient access as defining features. This new and expanding ambulatory care medical campus will include advanced adult specialty care programs and integrated diagnostic and procedural services in a state-of-the-art setting.The OpportunityThe Associate Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO) is the most senior physician leader at the campus and reports directly to Dr. Paul Lee who is the Chief Physician Executive at University of Michigan Medical Group. The ACCO will provide enterprise clinical leadership across all Troy facilities, including specialty care, cardiovascular, and advanced imaging, while ensuring alignment with Michigan Medicine’s mission and driving a high-efficiency, patient-centered model. The ACCO partners closely with the ACOO/ACNO, and will play a central role in shaping innovative, accessible models of care. The ACCO will provide physician oversight and direction to medical directors in the areas of oncology, MSK, sports medicine, reproductive medicine, cardiovascular services, radiology, surgery and anesthesia (and expanding); and will partner closely with relevant Department Chairs, Division Chiefs, and Clinical Physician Leaders to ensure the Troy Medical Campus faculty are well-supported, clinically engaged, and operationally successful.The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking physician executive who demonstrates a strong commitment to clinical excellence and efficient care delivery, while remaining attentive to the needs of both patients and providers. Successful candidates will have experience in a fast-paced and complex health care environment and demonstrated success leading by influence in a matrix environment. Qualifications include MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent; board certification in a relevant adult specialty, and active clinical practice must align with the specialties offered at the Troy Medical Campus.  The OrganizationThe Troy Medical Campus is part of 40-acre mixed used development located in the second largest County in Michigan. The Opportunity:Catholic Health is seeking an accomplished physician executive to serve as Vice President Medical Affairs, Physician Enterprise (VPMA). This senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, clinical performance, and continued growth of the Physician Enterprise, Ambulatory Care services, and Clinical Councils.Reporting directly to the Chief Physician Executive for Catholic Health, the VPMA provides executive leadership for the clinical practice management of 250+ physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), ensuring alignment with organizational goals, quality standards, and Catholic Health's mission. The VPMA directly oversees the Physician Enterprise Dyad Medical Directors, Ambulatory Care Medical Directors, Ambulatory Care Quality Medical Director, assigned Physician Enterprise physicians and providers, the Senior Director of Clinical Councils, and Clinical Council Chairs.The VPMA will lead the development and implementation of clinical programs, evidence-based protocols, and clinically integrated care networks while fostering strong collaboration among physician practices, hospitals, ambulatory services, and community partners. The VPMA will support provider compensation strategies, physician and APP integration, contract development and management, and service line expansion. The role is accountable for ensuring full compliance with governmental, regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards across the Physician Enterprise and Ambulatory Care settings.As a key member of the executive leadership team, the VPMA partners with the SVP, Vice President of Operations, Physician Enterprise, Dyad Medical Directors, Dyad Administrative Directors, and other system leaders to align physician practices, improve access to care, enhance patient outcomes, and advance operational excellence. The position provides strategic oversight for physician recruitment, retention, leadership development, practice acquisition opportunities, market growth initiatives, quality performance, productivity, and financial stewardship.This leader works collaboratively with Catholic Health administration, hospital leadership, Catholic Medical Partners, and medical staff leaders to strengthen clinical integration and maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care delivery.   • Demonstrated competence in managing large, multispecialty practices.
