This unit is LDRP, includes postpartum, surgery suite for cesarean sections, a well newborn nursery for stabilization and transfer. The units are all together and licensed as an LDRP. Some floating to Bakersfield is REQUIRED as needed. This unit provides antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal care for maternity patients and normal newborns. Gynecology patients are excluded. Note that this department does include labor and delivery. Focused on growth and technological expertise since 1974, Adventist Health Delano is a full-service community and regional teaching hospital. We are comprised of a 156-bed medical center serving 10 rural Central California cities with primary and specialty care services.
