This unit is LDRP, includes postpartum, surgery suite for cesarean sections, a well newborn nursery for stabilization and transfer. The units are all together and licensed as an LDRP. Some floating to Bakersfield is REQUIRED as needed. This unit provides antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal care for maternity patients and normal newborns. Gynecology patients are excluded. Note that this department does include labor and delivery. We are comprised of a 156-bed medical center serving 10 rural Central California cities with primary and specialty care services.
