Patient ratios range from 2 to 4:1. You will work with equipment such as left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), CADD Solis VIP, Remunity, Tyvaso, bedside monitors (12 beds), and Impella. You will titrate vasoactive drips including milrinone, dobutamine, dopamine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, lidocaine, nicardipine, cardizem, nitroglycerin, as well as heparin, Angiomax, Glucommander, Protonix, octreotide, IVIG, antivirals, and IV antibiotics. To qualify, you must have a minimum of 18 months of Intermediate RN experience within the last 3 years. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), advanced cardiac monitoring, and managing complex medication drips is recommended.
