LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of an accredited School of Nursing. Professional certification in the area of expertise or BSN, MSN, or NP preferred. Technical and professional knowledge and skills unique to the business and/or clinical services provided, usually acquired through 3–5 years’ progressive clinical experience in the related specialty preferred. Pediatric experience preferred. CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire. WORKING CONDITIONS Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
