• The Director of Surgical Services will provide operational and clinical leadership for Surgical Services department, overseeing daily operations, surgery scheduling, staffing allocation, and resource utilization to optimize patient flow and OR efficiency.

• Monitor, analyze, and report operational and access-related KPIs, including block utilization, wait times, FCOTs, and TOTs, using data to drive efficiency and performance improvement initiatives.
• The Director will recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate staff while fostering a collaborative culture focused on accountability, engagement, professional development, and continuous improvement. 
• Must lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within Surgical Services, driving standardization, operational excellence, and improved patient outcomes. 
• Seeking a hands-on leader to collaborate across hospital departments and leadership teams to support seamless patient care coordination, implementation of new technologies, and advancement of strategic organizational initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field is required. 
• Active RN license is required. 
• A minimum of three years’ experience in progressive surgical services leadership is required.

Compensation Details  

• The base salary range for this position is $142,584 to $221,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. • The Clinical Manager, Cardiovascular Operating Room, will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in accordance with Winchester Medical Center’s organizational standards.
• Department oversight includes the Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular services lines.
• Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, this leader will oversee a team of 20 FTEs across four ORs.
• This leader’s primary responsibility will be to revitalize the CVOR program by conducting a comprehensive assessment and implementing targeted improvements to enhance operational efficiency. They will focus on growing the cardiovascular service line while driving a cultural shift to support engagement, accountability, and performance excellence among staff.
• Ideal candidates will be strong change agents with exceptional relationship-building skills. Previous CVOR experience will be critical for success in this role.

Requirements

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Active RN license required.
• Active CNOR certification required, or must be obtained within two years of hire.
• A minimum of five years of progressive cardiovascular OR experience is required, including at least one year of leadership experience.

Lead Perioperative Services at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital at South Shore in Far Rockaway, New York as the new Senior Director, Perioperative Services. The Position 

• The Senior Director, Perioperative Services will provide strategic and operational leadership for Inpatient and Ambulatory Surgical Services at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital at South Shore and the Ambulatory Surgery Center, advancing quality, efficiency, and the experience of patients, physicians, and staff.
• This leader will oversee inpatient surgery, the ambulatory surgery center, endoscopy, and sterile processing.
• Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Patient Services & Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Director will lead four direct reports and approximately 60 FTEs.
• Key priorities include maintaining survey readiness, managing surgical scheduling, and supporting the ambulatory surgery center’s expansion from three to five days per week. The Senior Director will oversee service line finances and equipment replacement, including new sterile processing equipment, and lead the Perioperative Services Council through performance discussions, surgeon engagement, and required meeting documentation.
• The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded perioperative leader with proven experience building trust with staff and physician leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Active New York RN license required.
• Previous director-level experience in Perioperative Services required.
• Experience working in a unionized environment is highly preferred.
• Maintains clinical proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and providing direct patient care as needed.

Compensation Range

• The base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $210,000 annually.
