29 bed unit that is staffed with RN’s and CNA/CCT’s. Staffing matrix is between 1:4-6 patients. Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to, a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical and Occupational Therapists. Patient population is a combination of tele and medical status patients, all tele patients are monitored remotely by a CCT. Unit Description: 38 bed unit that is staffed with RN’s, CNA’s, Critical Care Techs (CCTs) and Advanced Care Techs (ACTs). Patient ratios are determined by patient acuity/workload and are typically 1:4 up to 1:6. CCTs monitor ECG rhythms on all telemetry patients 24/7. ACTs assist with transport, admit and discharge tasks, IV and Foley insertion, ADLs, and limited medication administration. Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory Therapists. Patient population includes treatment of CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI’s, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, Covid, care of the post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab procedures, and OHS patients once downgraded from ICU. Medications include non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc). May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, as well Renown South Meadows.
