CLINICAL INTERVIEWING – MGR FINAL APPROVAL Beds: 34 with 12 hallway beds Will you accept a first-time traveler? NO Years of Experience: at least 3-years of ED experience in large volume ED with high acuity patients Patient Types: Neonate to geriatric, Level III trauma center, pediatrics (medical and trauma). stroke (administer TPA), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health and substance use disorder Busiest ED in the state Transfer out (stabilize and ship): neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, high acuity peds patients Patient Ratios: 1:3-5 based on acuity; fast track (13 beds, “green zone”) ER is set up in zones Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC and TNCC Skills required: Strong emergency nursing skills to include critical care and pediatric patients Experience with chest tubes, arterial lines, blood administration, Bipap/Ventilators Splinting Barcode Scanning Medication Administration-this is required of staff Experience with managing medication drips Triage experience-must pass hospital’s Triage Test before allowed to triage Able to set up chest tubes, art lines.
