14 bed ICU/IMC unit (with peds beds) 30 Bed medical unit Up to 20 bed Surgical unit (usually runs up to 15) Family Birthing unit Special Care Nursery OR and Ambulatory Care Unit Emergency Department (currently about 52 patients per day, many of which are high acuity) Cardiovascular Lab – but only emergent cases and no open heart currently. Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others. 4. Executes delegated medical functions. 5. Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment. 6. Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. 7. Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. 8. Uses resources as needed. 9. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards. 10. This department provides triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. If the department is designated as a trauma site, the hours and expenses related to triage and treatment of trauma patients is included. However, the hours and expenses related to the administration and support of the Trauma program and it’s services (i.e. Trauma registry, trauma coordinators) should not be included here.
