As a key contributing member of the hospital and health system leadership team, the Chair will focus on advancing research efforts, high quality multi-disciplinary care, physician engagement, new program development, and department performance. Stony Brook Medicine stands as a premier healthcare, educational, and research enterprise of national renown. The Stony Brook Cancer Center is actively pursuing NCI designation. With more than 1,400 physicians in nearly 150 specialties; four-hospital network spanning all of Suffolk County; it is the cornerstone of biomedical knowledge and clinical services for the region.
