Community Regional Medical Center, part of Community Medical Centers, is seeking a Director of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry to join its leadership team in Fresno, California!The Position 
  • The Director of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry service lines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, quality outcomes, and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing, this leader will oversee seven direct reports, 400 beds and approximately 900 FTEs over seven inpatient units.
  • Key responsibilities include stabilizing the workforce, improving patient flow and quality outcomes by reducing falls, hospital-acquired conditions, and ED boarding, fostering staff engagement and accountability to drive successful changes, and supporting the continued growth of the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry service lines.
  • The ideal candidate will be a transformational nursing leader with a proven ability to lead through organizational change, improve quality outcomes, and build strong relationships across nursing, physician, and executive teams. They will be an approachable mentor who develops emerging leaders, fosters accountability, and cultivates a culture of collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • BSN required.
  • Active California RN license required.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an acute care clinical environment required.
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, including CMS Star Rating and Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade performance improvement efforts, is highly preferred.
Compensation Range
  • The base salary range for this position is $204,069 to 259,667 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
