ABOUT THE GUEST
Dr. Alaina Davis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Howard University, the owner of Overall Neuro Rehab, LLC, and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer. Her expertise is in cognitive-communicative disorders associated with TBI. Dr. Davis' research lab, the Center for Cognitive-Communicative Skills (CCC Skills), focuses on adolescents and adults with sports-related concussions and the process for return-to-learn/play/activity.
She also serves as the Lead SLP for the Howard University Concussion Management Team. Dr. Davis’ work has a significant focus on the cognitive and communication styles of adolescents and adults from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds and implementing cultural responsiveness in assessment and treatment.
