1. My Left Foot (1989)

The true story of Christy Brown (Daniel Day-Lewis), an Irishman born with cerebral palsy and the inability to control anything but his left foot. 2. Just Wright (2010)

This romantic comedy follows Physical Therapist Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah), as she navigates her complicated relationship with her patient, NBA star Scott McKnight (Common) as he works to recover from a career altering injury. Stream this rom com on Hulu and Prime Video.

3. Murderball (2005)

This documentary focuses on the athletes involved in wheelchair rugby, a popular and high-octane event in the Paralympics. Centering on life on and off the court for the USA and Canadian teams, this feature won at Sundance and was nominated for a Best Documentary Feature Oscar. 4. Warm Springs (2005)

This TV Movie gives an intimate look into former President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s (Kenneth Branagh) life before taking office and his battle with Polio—where he seeks treatment at Warm Springs rehabilitation facility.
