Will be given Tele patients if no oncology experience. Skills required: Trach care, chest tube, TR band, Post Cath lab, Central line maintenance care, Bipap experience required, Hi-flow experience required, Reading/Interpreting/measuring Cardiac Rhythm strips required. Titratable drip experience required (diltiazem and heparin, nurse protocol based on lab values). Support on the Unit: CNA: (Team Nursing) Days 1:6 Nights 1:8 Receptionist/HUC Charge nurse/Staff coordinator – Typically does not take patient assignments, will help with Occasionally will have 1-2 patients if staffing needs Phlebotomy – days/nights IV/VAT Team until 2300 Hospitalist – 24/7 Telemetry monitoring tech? Yes, on the unit. 2 central units. 32 patients per central unit. Sign off strips q 4 hours. Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV pumps: Plum pumps Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Draeger Floating: If yes, where? All other MS/tele units Orientation (#hrs/shifts): Hospital Orientation 2 – 12hr shifts on the unit depending on their contracted shifts Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Weekend nights are Friday/Sat On call? No Holiday Expectations: 1-2 Holidays per contract Approval of time off? Can we approve up to 7 days off on your behalf? Yes Shift times: Days 7a-7p; Nights 7p-7a Schedule cycle: 4-week increments and will receive the schedule 4 weeks in advance Overtime is optional.
