AMN Healthcare is partnering with a Kenai Penninsula school district to hire a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to work with one of the top districts in the area, providing services to children of all ages. Generally, the RN will monitor students, assess student health status, provide necessary emergency care, develop student care plans, and educate students, staff, and parents about various health conditions. Responsibilities for this role include: Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to monitor, assess, and provide effective health care for students. Screen and evaluate students referred to Nursing services. Appropriately collect data and report findings. Provide evidence-based direct and consultative care services as required. Monitor students’ symptoms, medications, and aftercare. Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards. Participate in a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student health.
