This 36-bed medical/surgical unit will provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, nursing care to all patients from adolescents (17 years and older) to geriatric who require hospitalization or nursing intervention. The primary focus is on patients with general and/or surgical needs in the areas of General Surgery, colorectal surgery, general abdominal surgeries, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Urology, Women’s Health, Gynecology, Uro-Gyn, Gyn oncology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, spinal/neuro overflow. The unit also provides care for women experiencing obstetrical issues such as intra-uterine fetal demise, preeclampsia mothers, hyperemesis, pregnant women experiencing substance abuse withdrawal, and diabetic pregnancies. 1:5/6 ratios. We are looking for a strong nurse who understands that they may be getting different patients throughout their shift in a very fast-paced environment.
