Address 5900 State Hwy 303 NE Bremerton, WA About Facilities: Bonney Lake Off-Campus ED – Average census 73 pts/day ED Beds: 10 ED hall spaces: 7-10 Location: Bonney Lakes Federal Way Off-Campus ED – Average census 95 pts/day ED Beds: 10 ED hall spaces: 7-10 Location: Federal Way Parkland Off-Campus ED – Average census is approx. 110 pts/day ED Beds: 10 ED hall spaces: 7-10 Location: Tacoma South-Hill Off-Campus ED – Busy ED – Average census 93 pts/day ED Beds: 10 ED hall spaces: 7-10 Location: Puyallup Lacey Off Campus ED – projected to be busy (ambulance traffic) ED Beds: 10, potential go up to 17. (similar to parkland layout) Location: 4312 Pacific Ave South East Lacey, WA 98503 Will have an Midshfit (12p-12a) RT at this location only. RN take over respiratory care when RT is out. 135,000 combined patients seen last year Bremerton Off Campus ED – budgeted for 60 patients per day ED Beds: 10-12 ED hall spaces: 7-10 Location: 5900 State Highway 303 NW Bremerton, WA Travelers who start 5/19/2025 – 6/9/2025 will spend the weeks prior to opening helping set up the department supplies and developing workflows. Recommendation to find house between Seattle and Tacoma, Puyallup, Kent, Renton– Avoid Seattle proper or north of Renton as traffic can be extremely difficult to navigate on I-5 MultiCare is only accepting medical and religious exemption requests at this time. General Information Beds: 10, total 20 treatment spaces Experience: 2 full years of true ER experience (any trauma level); First-time traveler: Yes Will be assigned a primary OCED, but the expectation when needed is to float to other OCED sites as needed and primary site may change depending on needs. Minimum night staffing varies per location usually 4 RN & 1 LPN, but can be 2 RN & 1 LPN Patient Types: Neonates – Geriatrics, 25% Peds, Walk-in traumas, all types of patients ranging from cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psych, frequent drop off GSWs Will have to provide care to intubated patients will provide training for ventilator and bipap as there are no RT’s onsite, RN’s manage vent/bipap Covid & PPE: N95s PAPRs Goggles Patient Ratios: 1:4 Fast track 1:6 team nurse (LVP, NP) Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, TNCC Skills required Strong ED experience, strong customer service, ventilator class (BiPAP) will provide during on boarding, knowledge of medication administration (mix own meds), chest tubes, central lines, strong IV skills Will be required to do charge (facility will train if needed) Support on the Unit: LPN Ratio: (LPNS: 2 1 will assist in rooms, and fast tracks) can take low acuity assignments as well as assist with procedures and medication administration (within their scope) Charge nurse: does take partial pt assignment is free in the afternoon to float and give breaks EST/Phlebotomy: Assist draw blood, but majority is RN draw or LPN No RT- RN’s will manage Vents No Pharm- will mix your own meds under the supervision of pharmacy via video conference Charting System/Equipment: EPIC Alaris Pyxis Floating: All other OCEDS; Mid shift floating (will pay for travel time) Will call traveler if you have to float before shift starts Orientation: 1 hospital orientation 1 full day with OCED unit educator 8h respiratory class 1 full day on the unit Traveler Telemetry Competency Required Required to be completed and passed prior to start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this exam. Scheduling: Weekend rotation: try to rotate every other, but not guaranteed. Negotiable Shifts: 12 hrs-Hire for a range, not a specific start time Days: Start times can vary from 0700 -1100 Mids/Eves: Start times vary from 11a-1500p (11a,12p,13p) NOC: Start time is 1500 & 1900 6-week schedules Block scheduling not guaranteed (will be assigned an existing open FTE position) Can we approve time off: 5 days ok to approve; more than 5 days request to manager Holiday Expectations: Negotiable Other notes or things you want us to check/verify?
