his department provides triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. If the department is designated as a trauma site, the hours and expenses related to triage and treatment of trauma patients is included. However, the hours and expenses related to the administration and support of the Trauma program and it’s services (i.e. Trauma registry, trauma coordinators) should not be included here. This is a 30 bed unit. Resources include: MD, PA, RT, EKG Techs, Phlebotomists, Ed Techs. Job Summary: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Acute care facility experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required Facility Specific License/Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or RQIPALS: Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required Department Specific License/Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP): Required Essential Functions: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation.
