As Chief People Officer, Carolyn Kenny leads the People Strategy and has a key role in shaping the company’s culture and creating an experience that allows all team members to do their best. She oversees Human Resources (HR) and is responsible for assuring that AMN has an exceptionally talented and diverse workforce that is committed to the purpose and mission of AMN Healthcare.
Ms. Kenny, who joined AMN in 2021, has extensive experience in leading change at large organizations, overseeing HR functions and engaging and aligning teams around company goals.
Prior to her current role, she was Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where she led the strategic development and day-to-day operations of the clinical enterprise. Her background also includes key leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente, including President of Kaiser Permanente Georgia. A champion of employee health and wellness, she started the Kaiser Permanente Georgia Corporate Run/Walk to promote health and fitness in companies across metro Atlanta.
A past board member of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, Ms. Kenny also served on the boards of The Emory Children’s Center, Atlanta Public Radio and the Georgia Association of Health Plans.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
