Weekly Pay*
The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of their practice. The position is one of providing direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and to provide direct care to the newborn. Assuring all aspects of maternal childcare. Responsibility Performing assessments, monitoring process of labor, preparing for C-sections, inductions, and proper documentation of nursing care. Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum including infant care and providing patient education. Prepares delivery room, provides emotional support, and coordinates transfers. Administer IV medications, adhere to principles of infection control and general policies of OB department. Knowledge and/or interest in obstetrics and equipment. Accountability The RN reports directly to the New Beginnings Birth Center Manager. Special Demands Physical: Long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting. Exposure to blood and body fluids, unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible. Qualifications Education: RN graduate with current Colorado licensure. Must have current CPR certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment.
