This department provides triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. If the department is designated as a trauma site, the hours and expenses related to triage and treatment of trauma patients is included. However, the hours and expenses related to the administration and support of the Trauma program and it’s services (i.e. Trauma registry, trauma coordinators) should not be included here. Adventist Health Hanford, is one of four medical centers that forms Adventist Health in the Central Valley. This medical center serves the communities of Kings County. It provides the following care services: cancer, diabetes, emergency, cardiac catheterization lab, stroke, inpatient and outpatient surgery, orthopedics, and birthing services which includes a neonatal intensive care unit in partnership with Valley Children’s Hospital. Adventist Health Hanford serves the community with 600 physicians, 3,300 associates, and 16 medical residents. Job Summary: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
