Located in Lake Havasu City Joint Commission Accredited 171 beds Community hospital and regional referral center Certified Chest Pain Center Level Trauma 3 Havasu, AZ Outdoor recreation central Beautiful mountain ranges paired with serene lake scenery Close to major cities such as: Las Vegas- 2.5 hours drive Phoenix- 3.25 hours drive Grand Canyon National Park- 3.5 hours Los Angeles or San Diego, CA- 5 hours

Details: – 139 bed community hospital located in western AZ, where AZ, CA, and NV meet. – We are an hour and a half from Lake Havasu and Las Vegas in opposite directions. We have the Colorado River, Lake Mead, Boat and jet ski rentals, Casinos minutes away, rodeos, concerts in Laughlin. – 4 hrs from the Grand Canyon. 4 hours from CA attractions like Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, etc

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: RHC/LHC, Pacemaker, PCI, ICD, EP, TEE, Loop recorder, STEMI. # of Beds: 5-7 cases/day Nurse to Patient Ratio: Charting: Cerner Scrub Color: navy blue Areas of Float Support: Special Procedures: CardioMems, PFO, Impella. no scrub or critical care experience required

Top 10 Procedures/Scans:  Coronary Angiogram, PCI, Stenting  (DES and Bare Metal), Peripheral intervention, Transesophogeal Echo,. PPM and ICD Implant Most Common Equipment: Philips FD 20  Cerner and MacLab;  Imaging PACs system McKesson

Cerner for EMR and procedure charting MacLab – 3 proc./day – M – F, Call on weekends – Floats to other Pre/Post Intervention Depts. Top 10 Procedures/Scans:  Cardiac Catheterization, PTCA, DES Stenting, IABP, Impella, IVUS and FFR.  STEMI Intervention  Most Common Equipment: Imaging Equipment Philips FD-20.  balloons and Stents, Athrectomy and Angiojet

Operates all special procedure equipment and can select and modify technical factors as needed. Acts as a resource for specialized or complicated procedures; consistently applies knowledge from complex situations to improve practice, and shares improvements with team members. Monitors, records and evaluates patient vital signs throughout procedures. Provides protection to patients in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards; uses collimation, patient radiation protection, and immobilization. Maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures; regularly practices aseptic techniques; strictly obeys isolation and infection control procedures. Operates, records and maintains physiologic equipment, in accordance with established clinical cardiovascular procedures. Responsible for all cardiac Cath equipment, such as C-Arm, angiographic injectors, and associated patient monitoring equipment; reports any malfunctions and regularly practices preventive maintenance procedures; demonstrates the ability to perform simple troubleshooting and repair. Assists the Cardiologist and/or Radiologist or physician during special procedures and in the administration of opaque media via catheter or direct injection; assists during examination relative to the catheterization, filming, and monitoring of the patient. Operates computerized system with accuracy and evaluates and reports significant data and findings throughout all procedures for all patients of various age groups. Operates other specialized equipment that applies to facility as needed. Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
