In this role, you will perform a full range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, including general radiography, OR imaging, fluoroscopy, and portable studies across inpatient units and procedural areas. You will work closely with radiologists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other allied health professionals to deliver timely and accurate imaging that supports high-quality patient care and safe clinical decision-making. A typical day may include: Performing scheduled and add-on diagnostic radiology exams for outpatients and inpatients Providing imaging support in the operating room, procedural suites, and the emergency/urgent care setting as needed Performing portable exams on patient care units and collaborating with nursing on safe transport and positioning Ensuring accurate patient identification, exam verification, and adherence to ALARA radiation safety principles Documenting all required information accurately in the EMR and ensuring images and reports are correctly linked within the PACS Communicating effectively with radiologists and clinical teams regarding exam protocols, patient status, and any urgent findings that need escalation Patient volumes and ratios are designed to balance efficiency with patient safety and experience. The imaging department features modern digital radiography equipment and integrated PACS and EMR systems to support streamlined workflows. Technologists are supported by experienced leadership and have opportunities to participate in educational activities, process improvement initiatives, and cross-training where appropriate.
