For the third year in a row, the American Nurses Association (ANA) has replaced Nurses Week with Nurses Month and has extended the theme ‘Nurses Make a Difference’ to “honor the varying roles of nurses and their positive impact on our lives”. The month-long celebration makes room for more gestures of appreciation and more opportunities to show the value nurses bring to our communities.
AMN Healthcare is grateful for all nurses across the globe, and this month AMN Healthcare is honored to celebrate Nurses Month and fill it with fun surprises for all nurses. Nurses Month Week 1: Self Care
Nurses are selfless and put patient needs and job demands before their own health and wellbeing. During Week 1, AMN Healthcare will share the top self-care tips voted on by nurses, will announce the first winner of our Commitment to Excellence award, will share a list of the stores giving discounts to nurses in celebration of Nurses Month, and will be doing an Instagram giveaway. You will have the chance to win a pair of Airpods Pro, $100 Jaanuu Scrubs gift card, a weighted blanket, a white noise machine, and a home spa package!
Nurses Month Week 2: Recognition
This is where AMN Healthcare proclaims our appreciation from the rooftops. Maybe not literally, but AMN Healthcare plans to share videos from the leadership team expressing their gratefulness, share tips about how nurses can maintain their wellbeing, announcing the second winner of our Commitment to Excellence award, and feature a traveler spotlight.
Nurses Month Week 3: Professional Development
Nurses are the largest group of health care professionals in the U.S. and the learning opportunities are abundant and continuously evolving and improving. For this third week of celebrations, AMN Healthcare is hosting a free Live Event, feature another nurse traveler spotlight, share hidden gem locations for travel nurses for their next professional assignment, announce the third winner of our Commitment to Excellence award, and announce another giveaway!
