About the Guest
Allyson is a registered nurse. She received her bachelors from The University of Virginia in 2019 and is now pursuing her Master's and Doctorate to become a nurse practitioner. She started her career in nursing in mother-baby/labor and delivery for one year and quickly was redeployed to the special pathogen unit to take care of critically ill patients admitted with COVID. She has since been an Intensive care nurse for three years - totaling a nursing career of four years.
She has received certifications in breastfeeding and critical care. She has been heard on local news, in local papers, and in community outreaches for families losing a loved one due to COVID. She also has her own youtube channel to vlog through her journey and an Instagram account where she showcases her coffee and baking creations.
