Patient Population: Cardiac Telemetry, Vascular and Med-Surg. Some Post Cath, Post Pacemakers. Lines/Drains/Devices: PICC’s, dialysis catheter’s, PEG tubes, ostomies, foley’s, chest tubes, NG tubes, tube feeding (Kangaroo pumps), wound vacs. Airway: Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, Heated High Flow, High Flow, Nasal cannulas. No ventilators. Drips: Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Heparin, and Insulin. PCA pumps for pain management. Ancillary Staff: 1-3 PCA’s and unit secretary depending on census and availability. Phlebotomy available for lab draws. Scrubs: Navy blue scrubs. Other: Nurses are required to read/verify telemetry strips once a shift in EPIC.
