Responsibility Performing assessments, monitoring process of labor, preparing for C-sections, inductions, and proper documentation of nursing care. Knowledge of scientific and psychosocial nursing theory, principles, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of the Indian patient. Knowledge of biological aspects of disease processes and illness relating to Obstetrical and newborn infants and is able to recognize complications and implement appropriate nursing/therapeutic intervention required. Shall cross train to Women’s Health Clinic (WHC) when short staffed. Shall make patient unit assignments, specifically deciding assignment to postpartum, newborn, labor & delivery units. Contractor shall ensure narcotic inventory, daily checks and logs are completed in a timely manner.
