Shift/Time: M-F 2-8 hour shifts, 2-12 hours shifts with call (approximately 1 weeknight call per week 11p-7a, 1 weekend call – Fri, Sat, Sun – every 4-5 weekend Friday 11p-Monday 7a) **The First Assist position is a dual role (CST/FA) and will need to function in this capacity** The Manager needs a candidate that can start ASAP! RN: yes CST: yes Nursing Assistant: yes First Assist (if applicable): yes Case Types: GYN GENERAL ROBOTICS—BARIATRIC, PROSTATE, HERNIA, GALLBLADDER, HYSTERECTOMY UROLOGY ORTHO ORTHO/SPINE PODIATRY PLASTICS CATARACT ENT ENDOSCOPY—COLON, EGD, ERCP, BRONCHOSCOPY Average # of cases performed in a day: 25 Required Licensure and Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS Scrub Tech: BLS, National certification (CST) – NBSTSA required – MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH PROFILE Nursing Assistant: BLS First Assist: BLS, National certification (CSFA) – NBSTSA and National certification (CST) – NBSTSA required -MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH PROFILE Skills required: RN: able to circulate above cases Scrub Tech: able to scrub above cases independently Nursing Assistant: general knowledge of the OR First Assist (if applicable): able to assist independently; will work in a dual CST/SFA role – must be comfortable to work as a Scrub Tech Technology/Equipment: EMR: Epic IV pumps: Alaris Medication dispensing: Omnicell Floating: No floating required Orientation: How many days are given? Dependent on skillset and experience Scheduling: Weekend rotation: weekend call – discussed during interview On call? If so, what is that schedule? RN: dependent on staffing – typically one weekend every 7 weeks Scrub Tech: dependent on staffing – typically one weekend every 5 weeks Nursing Assistant: No call First Assist (if applicable): dependent on staffing – typically one weekend every 5 weeks Holiday Expectations? First Assist for CVOR Unit 4 OR suites. Pedi-Adult hybrid, Adult. Will float to the main OR. EPIC EMR. Top Diagnoses/Procedures: CABG, Valve surgeries, EVH, Robotic lungs, vascular cases, endo vascular, AAA, ECMO Must have exp with IABP, cardioversion/defibrillation, LVAD/Impella and ECMO.
