AdventHealth Littleton, a proud part of the larger AdventHealth system, is seeking their next Infection Prevention Educator in Littleton, Colorado! The Position
  • The Infection Prevention Educator will be responsible for supporting hospital-wide Infection Prevention, education, and regulatory reporting efforts. 
  • Reporting to the Director of Quality and Patient Safety, this leader will be responsible for the oversight of the Infection Control Committee, New Employment Orientation, and all education/training initiatives for staff and physician teams. 
  • Key responsibilities include conducting daily surveillance, performing National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) data entry, leading the Infection Control Committee, and providing education and support to reduce hospital-acquired infections (HAI).
  • This leader will also be responsible for ensuring proper collections and specimen testing to ensure optimal integrity as it pertains to contamination, patient safety, and compliance regulations.  
  • The ideal candidate will be an approachable, hands-on leader with experience in NHSN reporting and a solid foundation in HAI prevention strategies. Must be highly organized, team-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
  • Seeking a strong leader to bring infection prevention expertise to the organization and move forward key initiatives around infection trends, outcomes, safety, and compliance with productivity guidelines. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
  • Previous leadership experience in infection prevention in an acute care setting required.
Compensation Details
  • The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

  • Founded in 1989, AdventHealth Littleton is a 231-bed facility serving south metro Denver and surrounding communities. The hospital features a Level II trauma center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), emergency services, and multiple specialty programs including cardiology/heart & vascular, neurology, orthopedics, cancer care, women’s health, surgery, imaging, rehabilitation, and more.
  • In August 2025, AdventHealth Littleton opened a new 143,000-square-foot Heart and Vascular Institute, offering cardiovascular operating rooms, electrophysiology labs, cardiovascular ICU and advanced procedures.
