What does Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mean to us at AMN?
Diversity at AMN means embracing the ways we are similar and different in all experiences and perspectives and making sure we are coming together and keeping diversity top of mind.
Equity to us means fair and just treatment and ensuring everyone has access to opportunities to advance, succeed and thrive.
Inclusion is the piece that involves the actions that we take every day to create a welcoming and affirming environment where you can experience a sense of belonging for all healthcare professionals and team members, as well as health equity.
What does the future of DEI look like at AMN?
Our future is all of you, everyone around the United States, the US is a melting pot of people with all different types of backgrounds. We want to make sure that we are providing health equity and positive outcomes. Part of what we do is also about humility, we are on a journey, and we are always evolving and improving. We are continuing to learn and do better for our healthcare professionals.
How do our DEI efforts at AMN help you as our allied healthcare professionals and what does that outreach look like?
At amn we discovered that DEI helps organizations in our marketplace as well as in AMN as it relates to innovation. Over the last year we have been looking for ways to improve as it relates to our clients and their work forces and working with them and how we can help them reach their goals while offering a diverse talent pool.
For allied professionals we look at the marketplace and try to gain an understanding of who can help us connect with all different backgrounds and that we can pull into our candidate pipeline. We are working on DEI internally so that our workforce is reflecting of the communities that we service
We want to make sure we are creating an environment where everyone can bring their best selves to work and feel comfortable where they are.
