Registered nurses who hold a current out-of-state license can apply for Connecticut nursing licensure by endorsement through the Connecticut State Department of Public Health. When applying for your Connecticut RN license, you will need to provide:

  • Verification of all RN licenses held, current or expired.
  • A completed application and fee in the amount of $180.00.
  • License applications are only accepted online.

Official nursing school transcripts are normally not required as long as the Nursys system contains your educational information. Otherwise, you will need to work with the Connecticut Board of Nursing to provide that information.

CT Nursing License Renewal

A Simple Online Process

Registered nurse licenses in Connecticut expire in the first birth month following issuance and are renewable annually thereafter. RNs will receive notification approximately 60 days prior to their license expiration date and will be required to renew online and pay a fee of $105. Continuing education is not required for license renewal.
