The Telemetry Nurse monitors and interprets rhythms, monitors patient’s hemodynamic statuses, administers prescribed cardiac medications and Telemetry approved drips. The Telemetry Nurse is expected to recognize and assist patients in shock or those with other, life threatening, complications. The Telemetry assists with emergency and elective cardio versions as well as the insertion of temporary pacemakers. Interacts with those of a variety of age(s) within any of the following populations: adolescent, adult, and geriatric and with those of adult age on an inter-disciplinary level; must be able to effectively interact appropriate to individual’s intellectual level and physical ability.
