Your role is critical in supporting appropriate patient selection for SCS by gathering and documenting clinical, psychological, and social information, and ensuring all required pre-trial evaluations are completed and recorded accurately. During the SCS trial phase, you will prepare patients for what to expect, provide education on trial equipment management, wound care, and activity restrictions, and troubleshoot practical issues related to externalized leads, dressings, and other trial paraphernalia. You will monitor for and promptly report any adverse events or complications to the Pain Physician and team, ensuring patient safety and timely intervention. You will help patients understand that SCS is designed to improve pain and function but is not a cure and may not result in a completely pain-free state.
