LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: all Patient Care personnel must be initially certified prior to patient care and recertified every two years in American Heart Association BLS. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: ACLS – all registered nurses employed in Nursing Supervision, Med/Surg, Emergency Department, Perioperative Services and ICU must be initially certified within six months of employment and recertified every two years in ACLS. PALS – all Registered Nurses in ER must be initially certified. Med/Surg, Perioperative Services and ICU must be initially certified within six months of employment and recertified every two years in PALS.
