As a key contributing member of the hospital and health system leadership team, the Chair will focus on advancing research efforts, high quality multi-disciplinary care, physician engagement, new program development, and department performance. Promoting a collaborative culture, the Chair will partner closely with health system leaders, faculty, and staff to align departmental strategy with the broader goals of the academic medical center and the community health system and provide a high-quality standard of practice in an integrated manner. Stony Brook Medicine stands as a premier healthcare, educational, and research enterprise of national renown. The Stony Brook Cancer Center is actively pursuing NCI designation. With more than 1,400 physicians in nearly 150 specialties; four-hospital network spanning all of Suffolk County; it is the cornerstone of biomedical knowledge and clinical services for the region. The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine is strongly committed to a multidisciplinary team approach to women’s healthcare, clinical education and research and has 70 providers in seven divisions.
