Don't miss this exciting opportunity to lead as the Director of Clinical Documentation Integrity with Children’s Health in vibrant Dallas, Texas!The Position
  • The Director of Clinical Documentation Integrity supports the departmental strategic vision and provides subject matter expertise for areas such as clinical documentation integrity (CDI) and Case Mix Index (CMI).
  • Reporting to the Vice President of HIM and Revenue Integrity, this leader will oversee a team of seven direct reports.
  • This leader will foster team cohesion through the implementation of best practices, operational enhancements, and the refinement of clinical documentation processes and procedures. Additionally, they will prioritize adjustments needed based on the latest CDI assessment findings.
  • Ideal candidates will be dynamic leaders who excel at fostering relationships across all levels of staff. Strong analytical skills and excellent presentation abilities are a must. Previous experience in inpatient settings and expertise in CDI/coding are essential for this role.
  • This position welcomes remote leaders, but candidates must be residents of the state of Texas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP), or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification required.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience is required, with at least three years in a managerial role.
