Oversees and verifies accounting transactions in these departments (revenue and expense; variances, benchmarks, and statistics). Responsible for preparation of annual budget, regulatory reports, monthly and annual financial reports, and benchmarking reports. Reports Financial health of the organization to the other members of Senior Leadership, as well as the designated member of Finance to the Board of Directors. The Ideal Candidate:  

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, finance or accounting required.
• Master’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting Leadership required.
• Minimum 5+ years at a CFO or VP level required.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Experience within a community-based health care independent environment with high governmental payer mix and/or track record of managing successfully in a financially stressed environment is highly preferred.
• Strong experience with healthcare revenue cycle principles and functions.
• Brings a contemporary, enterprise-wide perspective to financial function with strong business acumen and strategic vision.
• Aligns financial strategy with the organization’s mission, vision, and values while turning strategy into actionable plans.
• Serves as a credible, articulate voice across the health system; communicates complex financial issues clearly at all levels, including the Board.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment, earning trust when making difficult decisions.
• Proven ability to drive results through strong organizational skills, effective partnerships, and customer service focus.
• Established track record of success in advancing financial health and organizational performance.

The CFO ensures financial sustainability, compliance with healthcare regulations, accurate financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and includes oversight of accounting, budgeting, revenue cycle management, managed care contracting, materials management, and the clinically integrated network.The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required. Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive healthcare financial leadership experience.
• Previous experience as a Chief Financial Officer in a for-profit or not-for-profit hospital system preferred.
• 3-5 years experience as a hospital controller or assistant controller preferred. 
• Experience with rural hospital models highly preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of healthcare finance regulations including Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and cost reporting. 
• Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Proficiency with healthcare financial systems and Microsoft Excel. 
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
