Northern Inyo Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital located at 150 Pioneer Ln., Bishop, CA, near Sierra Trailer Park and J Diamond Trailer and Recreational Vehicle Park; it is government-owned, accredited by TJC and was established in 2006. The facility operates 25 beds and three operating rooms, offers a broad mix of clinical services and departments including imaging (CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, mammography), surgical services (inpatient and outpatient surgery, ophthalmic and orthopedic procedures), an emergency department, medical/surgical and surgical ICUs, obstetrics/L&D, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient therapy, plus pharmacy, chemotherapy, laboratory and respiratory care. Staffed by allied health clinicians, nurses, physicians, advanced practice clinicians and support services, the hospital maintains a workforce equivalent to approximately 341 full-time positions and hosts residency programs in allopathic, osteopathic, dental, podiatric and other tracks.
