Over the remainder of the school year, the clinician can anticipate about 17 evaluations and approximately 35 IEP meetings (including annual reviews and evaluation meetings). The role requires active participation in the full special education process, including assessments, therapy planning, service delivery, documentation, and collaboration with families and staff. Key responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to school-aged students in accordance with IEPs Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, interpret results, and develop appropriate goals and service plans Participate in approximately 35 IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, related service providers, and families Work closely with an SLPA, including signing off on SLPA progress reports and Medicaid notes/billing as required Collaborate with OT and AT team members, including co-treating when appropriate to support students with complex needs Provide specialized support for students on the Autism Spectrum, with attention to communication, social interaction, and functional skills Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with all school, district, state, and professional guidelines The typical day in this role includes a mix of scheduled therapy sessions, evaluations, documentation time, and meetings with staff and families.
