Assignment length is 26 to 52 weeks, with an ASAP start and an anticipated onboarding period of approximately 6–8 weeks. On-call coverage is possible and will be scheduled as needed by the department. As a dual-modality role, you will provide both CT and general radiography/fluoroscopy services. A typical day may include performing CT scans on the GE Revolution Evo CT, completing standard and specialized radiographic exams, and supporting fluoroscopic procedures for radiologists and providers. You will be expected to: Perform a broad range of diagnostic radiographic studies, including extremities, spine, chest, abdomen, and complex fluoroscopic procedures such as IVPs, barium swallows, cystograms, and GI series Assist in the operating room with C-arm guidance for orthopedic, trauma, and other surgical procedures Conduct CT examinations across a variety of patient populations and indications, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient studies Insert IV lines for contrast administration, monitor patients for reactions, and recognize and respond appropriately to injection-related complications Coordinate imaging workflow with radiologists, emergency medicine teams, surgeons, and other clinicians Adhere to ALARA principles and ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care, often working closely with interpreters and family members when patients primarily speak Navajo Maintain accurate documentation in the facility’s EMR and PACS systems Patient volumes may fluctuate, but technologists can expect a mix of scheduled outpatient exams, inpatient imaging, and emergent/urgent studies from the emergency department.
