The imaging department emphasizes efficient workflows and strong collaboration with radiologists and procedural teams, creating an environment where technologists can focus on delivering excellent images and a positive patient experience. In this role, you will perform a range of diagnostic radiographic exams including general radiography, fluoroscopy support, portable exams, and operating room imaging. Depending on experience and interest, there may be opportunities to assist with or cross-train into CT and procedural imaging environments, such as interventional radiology and cardiology suites. Typical duties include verifying orders, preparing patients, positioning accurately, selecting appropriate technical factors, and ensuring images meet diagnostic standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment readiness, following radiation safety guidelines, and documenting care within the EMR and PACS systems. A typical day includes collaborating closely with radiologists, cardiology and procedural teams, and other allied health professionals. You may rotate between fixed rooms, ED coverage, portables on inpatient units, and fluoroscopy support. Patient ratios are designed to support safe, high-quality imaging with reasonable throughput expectations. Shifts may include days, evenings, or nights, with the possibility of weekend and on-call rotations, depending on departmental needs.
