Mountain Communities Healthcare District is a very small hospital in a very rural town. We have a 4 bed Emergency Room, no ICU, no trauma center. Our Radiology Dept. services our Emergency Room, our 10 bed Medical/Surgical floor and our out patient needs. We only schedule staff on day shift Monday through Friday. However, we need someone that can share on call responsibilities with our other two Radiologic Technologist on evenings and weekends. · Understands and performs the duties of a Radiologic Technologist 3, 12’s with shared evening and weekend call · Understands the complexities of imaging equipment in all modalities, i.e., radiology and CT · Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational and safety related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patient served · Demonstrates knowledge of positioning patients for optimal results Graduate of a Accredited Radiology Program, with Associate of Science Degree b) Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist Licensure (CRT) c) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) preferred d) Two years experience in an Acute Care setting is preferred e) Experience in at least two modalities f) Experience in a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility may be substituted for Acute Care experience g) BLS Certification required

Must be willing to float to Outpatient Imaging as well as the main hospital. Assignment length is 26 to 52 weeks, with an ASAP start and an anticipated onboarding period of approximately 6–8 weeks. You will be expected to: Perform a broad range of diagnostic radiographic studies, including extremities, spine, chest, abdomen, and complex fluoroscopic procedures such as IVPs, barium swallows, cystograms, and GI series Assist in the operating room with C-arm guidance for orthopedic, trauma, and other surgical procedures Conduct CT examinations across a variety of patient populations and indications, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient studies Insert IV lines for contrast administration, monitor patients for reactions, and recognize and respond appropriately to injection-related complications Coordinate imaging workflow with radiologists, emergency medicine teams, surgeons, and other clinicians Adhere to ALARA principles and ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care, often working closely with interpreters and family members when patients primarily speak Navajo Maintain accurate documentation in the facility’s EMR and PACS systems Patient volumes may fluctuate, but technologists can expect a mix of scheduled outpatient exams, inpatient imaging, and emergent/urgent studies from the emergency department.
