Incumbent must exhibit proficiency in the MFM Ultrasound Technician III required competencies (listed below) Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience in ultrasound preferred MFM Ultrasound Technician III required competencies: Medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology. Diagnostic imaging studies in all trimesters, including first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments, detailed second and third trimester anatomic assessments, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasound. Multiple forms of ultrasound imaging: transabdominal, transvaginal, multiplanar imaging, and multiple forms of Doppler assessment. Screening and diagnostic obstetric ultrasounds in all trimesters: First trimester studies for dating, aneuploidy screening, and early fetal anatomic assessment; Detailed/targeted second trimester ultrasounds for anatomic assessment and aneuploidy screening; Third trimester ultrasounds for anatomic assessments, fetal growth monitoring, Doppler studies, and antenatal testing. Advanced fetal imaging studies: Genetic sonograms; Multiplanar imaging for diagnostic purposes and post processing; Doppler studies for multiple clinical and ultrasound indications: Fetal echocardiography – screening and diagnostic; Multiple gestations.
