On a typical night, you can expect to: Perform a variety of CT exams, including routine, emergency, stroke, and trauma protocols according to department standards and radiologist preferences Provide diagnostic radiographic imaging or other assigned modality services as scheduled or as needed Prioritize workflow across emergency, inpatient, and limited outpatient volumes Prepare and position patients, verify orders, screen for contraindications, and ensure proper use of contrast according to policy Work closely with radiologists and providers to ensure timely, accurate imaging for critical patients Maintain image quality and radiation safety practices, including dose optimization and adherence to ALARA principles Document all exams and patient information accurately in the PACS, RIS, and EMR systems The imaging department is equipped with modern CT scanners, digital radiography systems, and updated PACS/RIS technology, providing a solid platform for high-quality studies and efficient workflows.
