This role is a standard 40-hours-per-week position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with no weekend requirements. A typical day includes performing a variety of ultrasound examinations across inpatient units, breast imaging, outpatient clinics, and the emergency department. In breast imaging, you will support diagnostic workups and follow-up examinations in coordination with breast care teams, maintaining attention to detail and sensitivity in patient interactions. Outpatient responsibilities will involve scheduled studies in a more structured clinic environment, where strong communication and time management skills are essential. In the emergency department, you will provide timely imaging for acute presentations, supporting physicians who depend on rapid, accurate ultrasound data to make urgent clinical decisions. The workflow is designed to balance volume with quality. Patient ratios and exam loads are structured to support thorough, technically accurate imaging while maintaining a steady pace throughout the day. You will be expected to adhere strictly to departmental protocols and safety standards, accurately document all exams within the EMR, and ensure proper image labeling, archiving, and transmission for interpretation.
