You will be responsible for patient preparation and positioning, protocol selection, scanner operation, radiation dose optimization, and image quality assurance. Close communication with radiologists is integral to tailoring protocols and ensuring timely, accurate diagnostic studies. A typical day includes reviewing the daily schedule, verifying orders and protocols, coordinating with nursing and ancillary staff, starting IVs and administering contrast, and performing CT exams according to department standards and safety guidelines. You will also document appropriately in the EMR, manage exam workflow through PACS, and assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment. Patient volumes are designed to support thorough, compassionate care while maintaining efficient throughput. The department emphasizes teamwork, cross-training, and professional development.
