AMN Healthcare is proud to support the University of Michigan Department of Urology in the recruitment of a urologist with a focus or interest in urologic oncology to join the new Troy Center for Specialty Care. This is a unique opportunity to help establish a comprehensive, multidisciplinary urologic oncology program in a high-demand region with limited access to subspecialty oncologic urology. The incoming physician will serve as a founding member of the Troy team, providing outpatient oncology care and procedure-based services while supported by the clinical infrastructure, brand strength, and referral network of University of Michigan Health.Opportunity Highlights
  • Help build a brand-new urologic oncology clinic at the Troy Center for Specialty Care, scheduled to open in 2027.
  • Join a nationally recognized academic urology department with more than 50 faculty members, researchers, and physician leaders.
  • Enjoy a balanced clinical model with approximately 50% outpatient urologic oncology clinic and 50% procedure or operating room-based care.
  • Provide comprehensive care for prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers, with emphasis on early detection, minimally invasive evaluation, and cancer survivorship.
  • Work in a modern, dedicated procedure and cystoscopy suite with access to flexible and rigid cystoscopy, bladder biopsy and fulguration, transperineal prostate biopsy, and other minor urologic oncology procedures.
  • Benefit from University of Michigan Health clinical infrastructure, including imaging, magnetic resonance imaging-fusion capabilities, pathology, biomarker testing, and multidisciplinary oncology care.
  • Focus on clinical practice with no research, resident, or student teaching requirements at the Troy site.
  • Candidates may be fellowship-trained in urologic oncology, but fellowship training is not required. General urologists with strong oncologic interest will be considered.
  • Receive a faculty appointment commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package through University of Michigan.
  • Participate in quality initiatives such as the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative, if desired.
