  • The Director of Emergency Department is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operations and staff of a busy 54-bed department, seeing over 50,000 annual visits!
  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this leader will oversee two direct reports and 80+ FTEs.
  • The selected leader will be responsible for enhancing patient flow within the unit and supporting the ongoing project to redesign the ER. Their role will involve ensuring proper triage procedures and protocols are established. Additionally, this leader will focus on fostering a positive staff culture and providing mentoring and education to the team.
  • Ideal candidates will be highly organized and visible leaders, with a strong emphasis on quality initiatives, patient engagement, and financial performance. Experience in acute care and previous director-level roles will be essential.
Requirements
  • BSN required; Master’s preferred.
  • Active RN license required.
  • Five years of recent clinical experience in the areas of responsibility and two years of experience in progressive management.
Compensation Range
  • The base salary range for this position is $155,000 to $175,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
