Oversee Facility operations and drive innovation when you join Southern Illinois Health as their next Director of Facilities and Construction in Carbondale, Illinois! ?The Position
  • The Director of Facilities and Construction is responsible for the strategic planning, design, direction, and implementation of all construction and renovation projects throughout the facility. 
  • This leader will oversee compliance, safety, budget management, innovation, disaster and recovery planning, and security initiatives throughout Southern Illinois Health system.   
  • The Director will oversee the bids and evaluations from architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all local and federal codes, certifications, and accreditations are achieved.  
  • This leader will provide insight on the current development/expansion projects throughout the facility and ensure survey readiness within all protocols/regulations. 
  • This leader will direct the strategic planning process for future development and will assist with all facility renovations including oversight of estimates, design, and permitting costs to guarantee optimal growth throughout the organization.  
  • The Director must display a high level of professionalism with the ability to effectively handle any technical or administrative responsibilities, including efficiently creating positive working relationships with staff, leadership, and the community. 
  • Seeking a motivated leader who will provide strategic leadership throughout the department and will implement proactive plans for the current and future development throughout the facility. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, industrial, and/or electrical engineering is required; master’s degree is strongly preferred. 
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification and/or other field related certifications are required. 
  • A minimum of 10+ years of healthcare facilities experience including a minimum of five years of leadership experience is required. 
Compensation Details
  • The base salary range for this position is $171,000 to $273,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
