The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students’ academic and social development.
Responsibilities for this role include conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students. The SLP will also develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs. Throughout the course of the school year, they will provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings. They will monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. The SLP will also provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment.

Workload based on a variety of factors including mobility rate, total population of students in the building, total number of students with disabilities, free and reduced lunch, and number of providers in the building. Caseloads not reported as buildings are allocated based on these factors.
